In 1982, Gina and Mike Cox opened the Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen as a lunch counter in Louisville, KY, in what was formerly an old automotive dealership. What used to be a spot to grab lunch became the place everyone stopped to buy fresh baked pies and homemade ice cream and is now what they specialize in! Although Homemade Ice Cream & Pie Kitchen is now owned by a new owners, their business model has stayed the same: if they sell it, it’s made fresh! Their restaurant offers interior tables and chairs for dine-in enjoyment, or you can carry out and enjoy while exploring the Louisville area.
